5+ for not getting the message in previous 4 headshots suspensions.
Pasta will get 0 for charging cuz it was a nothing play.
DeBrusk knee on knee didn't warrant a suspension, maybe a penalty... maybe.
He never extended leg at any point. He took a position and left his leg in that position for 10+ feet.
If the hit was so egregious why didn't anyone take exception to it right then and there?
The Leafs players should have done something right then n there.
Maybe the Leafs should have say... I don't know, grown some balls and engaged the Bruins.

Both. Kadri knows what he's doing and I think he did the correct thing.
He'll pay for it as he should.
The refs completely let this game turn into a poop show. Unsure of updates but is it possible Kadri, Krug and Debrusk (not sure if he was injured??) all miss some time in this series from that game.
Refs will probably tighten up the two games in Toronto so we'll see what happens. |

Kadri aka turtle should get 6+ games for his cheap head shot. |

Kadri will get the rest of the series, and if we're done after the 1st round the next game he'll play in the NHL will be with a new team. I understand his frustration last night but his temper and lack of judgment has cost the team for two years in a row. The Leafs are getting tired of it and will cut ties with him in the Summer. |

You're totally right, he never extended his leg. Except for the part he blatantly extended his leg and nailed kadris knee with it. (refer to leaf blog, page 14)
Your solution is that both teams should play like idiots? What a novel concept that is. |

If the players stick up for their teammates less liberties are taken.
Not going to argue the knee incident. You have your opinion I have mine. |

I'm not a Kadri fan, by any means... His suspension, whatever it ends up being, is well deserved.
BUT...
The reffing (for BOTH sides) was atrocious. They let the game get out of hand, and should be penalized as well. (Suspension, fines, whatever.)
Also, in my own opinion, if you take a high crosscheck/hit/whatever, and lie there like you're dead? Should automatically be placed in concussion protocol. The fact he came back next shift none the worse for wear is, at the VERY LEAST, embellishment, and should be penalized and/or disciplined accordingly. |

When Brad Marchand cross checked a falling Andy MacDonald to the face a few years ago he was fined 5,000, similar play. Aka the Jeremy Jacobs factor.. Kadri will get 3 again... Deservedly so. It was a real dumb move.. But the knee on knee? Realy? Oh that right Cassidy said he saw shoulder to shoulder. |

Kadri went into business for himself and will cost his team. I would expect a suspension of at least five games.
The Leafs big guns will need to step up and get physically engaged or this series will be over in five games. Matthews is developing a bad reputation as being a ghost in the playoffs. Matthews is getting big money next year. With big money, comes responsibility. Nylander spends most of his energy working to avoid getting hit. Embarrassing stuff.
Playoff hockey is big boy hockey and as I suspected, the Leafs do not have the heart to play winning playoff hockey. |

I'm not a fan of either team, but I despise the Bruins way more than the Leafs. I'm pulling for the Leafs, and I still think they can win this series.
That said, Kadri SHOULD get 6 games..but knowing the DOPS and their "One playoff game is 5 regular season games" mentality, he'll probably get 2.
The Debrusk knee looks bad in slow motion, but if you try (and miss) to hit a player cutting across the ice with your shoulder, your lower half has to move as well. Yeah, his knee moves, but he didn't stick out his knee a la Bryan Marchment or James Neal to Marchand's head. Again, hate the Bruins, but I don't think it was malicious.
As others have said, the refs let last game get out of hand. I love hard hitting, hate-filled playoff hockey. I can even appreciate some dirty plays (butt ends, ankle chops, etc.) at times. But I can't get behind cheap poop that can injure, and that's exactly what the refs allowed to transpire. |

I totally agree, the Leafs need players that can hold their composure, Kadri has proven that he can't, trade him for defence help in the summer.
